Appalachian Wood Products, Inc. is committed to protecting the environment by purchasing our lumber from companies who use renewable resource methods such as sustainable forest practices. Many of our suppliers are SFI or FSC certified. We train our employees to properly mark natural defects in our lumber to reduce the amount of wood waste generated.
We diligently strive to ensure that our manufacturing processes, our energy use and our employee efforts are at the maximum efficiency levels possible. We participate in energy conservation programs.
Because recycling is an important factor in caring for our environment, AWP recycles materials such as cardboard, steel/plastic straps and wood waste. To further reduce waste, we reuse our shipping pallets.
